About Us

Behind every great collection is a chest full of memories, traditions, and timeless art. For us, that chest is The Indian Sandook.

Founded by sisters Kritika and Aditi, The Indian Sandook was born out of a shared love for the rich, vibrant tapestry of Indian heritage and ethnic fashion. Growing up, we watched the women in our family unlock old wooden sandooks (trunks)—revealing beautifully preserved Silks,Cotton, intricate embroideries, and garments that told stories of generations past. It wasn't just clothing; it was living art.

As sisters and co-founders, we wanted to recreate that exact feeling of wonder and nostalgia, but with a modern twist.

Our Philosophy: We don’t just curate ethnic wear; we preserve heritage while embracing the contemporary woman. Every piece in our collection is a bridge between the craftsmanship of yesterday and the effortless elegance of today.

From the meticulous choice of premium fabrics like flowing silks and luxurious velvets to the celebration of warm tones and golden-hour aesthetics, we personally oversee every detail. We work closely with master artisans to ensure that when you wear a piece from The Indian Sandook, you are wearing a story of dedication, authenticity, and love.

Welcome to our sandook. We invite you to unlock it and find a piece of heritage to call your own.

With love,

Kritika & Aditi
